Foundation for Premature Infants Awards Two Scholarships to 2026 One Conference

Roswell, GA, June 12, 2026. Michael D. Litten, Founder, Foundation for Premature Infants was honored to award Sheri Kimmey and Jamie Jensen full scholarships, including transportation and lodging, to the ONE conference. The conference provides "practical, evidence-based sessions designed for NICU nurses who work at the bedside, or support them, with a strong focus on NeuroNICU and Neuro-Protective Small Baby care."

Sheri and Jamie have been working side by side in a 56-bed NICU at the Women's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska since 2002. Together, they co-lead the Small Baby Group, where they have developed and implemented care practices for their smallest patients. They are also currently involved in a new skin integrity initiative in their NICU.

Michael D. Litten commented he was "thrilled, because Sheri and Jamie's passion combined with the conference program fits perfectly with our mission and core belief, which is as Dr. Seuss's iconic character, Horton, said so succinctly and eloquently: 'a person's a person, no matter how small.'"

Sheri said, "The ONE Conference offers several sessions directly aligned with our current work, and we are eager to bring back knowledge that will benefit not only our practice but our entire unit. We believe our attendance will have a meaningful and lasting impact on patient care and staff education."
