
Roswell, GA, September 15th, 2020. Michael D. Litten, Founder, Foundation for Premature Infants was honored to award 5 scholarships to clinicians from John R. Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY to attend the 24th annual 2020 NICU Leadership Forum.
The clinicians who attended the forum included Christina Kae, Maternal Fetal Medicine Supervisor, Heidi Cober, Clinical Manager, Hematology Oncology and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Audrey Tobin, Clinical Manager, Pediatric MedSurg, Mary Ellen Creighton, Nursing Director, Pediatrics, and Cheryl Madge, Clinical Manager, Mother Baby Unit.
Michael D. Litten commented he was "thrilled, because the NICU Leadership Forum fits perfectly with our mission and core belief, which is as Dr. Seuss's iconic character, Horton, said so succinctly and eloquently: 'a person's a person, no matter how small.'"
This year's forum was a first of its kind, as it was held virtually. Lori Gunther commented, "The current situation required calling on the wisdom of the age old proverb, necessity is the mother of invention."
