Michael D. Litten Presents Donation to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital

Roswell, GA, – May 6th, 2019 – Today, at WellStar Kennestone Hospital, Michael D. Litten, Founder of the Foundation for Premature Infants, presented a donation to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The Foundation for Premature Infants donated $1,000 to be used for education purposes for the stellar group of clinicians who care for these fragile vulnerable little people. This is the first donation that the Foundation has presented to Kennestone Hospital’s NICU.

Nancy Carper, Nurse Manager, said they were over joyed to receive the donation and the timing was perfect because they were in the process of advancing their developmental care initiatives regarding decreasing sound levels in the incubators and continuing to improve positioning.

“I’m excited FPI has raised enough money through the generosity of folks passionate about those without a voice, premature infants, to be able to make this donation,” said Michael D. Litten, Founder. The Foundation’s core belief is, as Horton said so succinctly and eloquently: “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”
